HELLO 2022

The story of 2021 is over, it's in the books. While thanking the Lord for all he did during the past year what struck me most is what a full year it's been! 2021 will certainly go down as a year filled with blessings, challenges and changes! There is so much to thank God for and so many great memories were made. Yet with all the wonderful memories there was loss, tears and great sadness that will remain through the coming years. What I know is this. Every moment was full of the presence, love, help and goodness of Christ. The spirit of God walked with us every step of the way, ahead of us clearing the way, around us giving us strength, behind us holding us up by his mighty hand and rejoicing over us in every moment of joy. And so today we say Hello 2022! I pray it will be filled with all the fullness of God every step of the way! Happy New Year friends and family! God's got this!

I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES!

Six years ago I was living out a miracle. (My husband's lung transplant.) What I remember about that time is the peace that enveloped me. It wrapped around me as everything seemed to move 100 miles an hour and changed moment by moment. Life and death decisions were made in minutes with no time to think or pray. I had to rely on God completely, trusting him to guide my every step. I felt the force of the prayers of hundreds and hundreds of wonderful people. It was beyond what the mind can comprehend. To this day I remain in awe of God. There is not enough thankfulness, praise or love in the universe to lay at his feet. I have lived out a miracle and nothing, absolutely nothing can ever diminish the wonder of that experience. I believe Lawrence would agree. Our God is a God of miracles yesterday, today and forever! I have seen it with my own eyes!

TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM

The other day I saw a social media post that made me stop and think to myself, how can that be? You see this person was questioning her faith in God. Of course it was all about what others had done or said or what she perceived anyway. I wondered to myself, did she ever really even know my God, my Jesus! And it made me sad. Have you ever noticed that when you get to know someone, even the harshest, hardest person around, they really aren't all that bad? But that's an imperfect person, with lots of flaws and issues like we all have. But God! When you get to know him, experience his love that's a completely different matter. There are no words to describe his wonder, his goodness, his faithfulness and his perfect love for each one of us. Knowing God doesn't mean we won't know the troubles that are in this world but it does mean we will always have hope and love and acceptance and peace even in the midst of them. Listen y'all if I can experience this anyone can! It will change your life! It sure did mine! Have a great day y'all! You are GREATLY LOVED!

DON'T FORGET TO ASK

Aren't you thankful God provides whatever we need? When Jesus was teaching the disciples how to pray what we call the Lord's prayer, part of that prayer was to ask God to give us our daily bread. How many times have we heard or maybe even said in the face of a great need or even a small one for that matter, I just don't know what I'm going to do? Well, I know what! We can pray! Jesus told us to ask because he knows if we ask God will answer! I hope this encourages you and builds your faith today to take a moment and ask for God's provision. He is waiting to hear from you! Know why? Because you are greatly loved! Have a blessed day everyone!

PEACE CAN'T BE BOUGHT

"Our peace with God infuses us with the peace of God." The true treasures in this life can't be bought. There's no Black Friday or Cyber Monday sale on peace. It only comes when you know, personally know, God. I can't imagine going though the hard times in our lives without God's peace that the Bible says doesn't even make sense. When there is nothing else it carries you, gives you strength, enables you to take your next breath and blankets you with protection from the pain. There is nothing, absolutely nothing that can compare! I am so very thankful for that peace. I pray you will be filled with God's incredible and unimaginable peace in your life during this holiday season and every day of your life. You are greatly loved!

Only God Can Make Sunshine

 Happy Saturday!

Oh my gosh! I opened the blinds, said (well actually yelled) thank you Lord and clapped my hands when I saw the sunshine this morning! Sunshine makes me happy and you know it only comes from God! Only God can make a sunshiny day in your world and in your heart! I hope your day and heart are filled with the warmth and sunshine that only comes from God's love! Happy Saturday everyone! You are greatly loved!

2020 In the Books

If 2020 is in the books, and it is, I can't help but think what category of book you would find it in. It almost seems like fiction, parts of it even science fiction or horror. Yet we who lived it know it is reality and will be part of our story, our biography, as the story is retold for years to come. Some of us watched events unfold with utter disbelief and sadness while others embraced them as needed change. Many felt their core values and beliefs were being ripped away and others seemed to embrace the destruction as freedom. Most of us are glad we are at the end of the book and more than relieved to close the cover and put it away. Although the story is to be continued it is not without hope. God's promise is to crown the year with his goodness and he will. I pray that this will be a year of abundant blessing and you will see God's goodness written in your story of 2021. Happy New Year everyone! You are greatly loved!
